GKN Mission Everest is all about adventure and endeavour: a single, spectacular adventure inspiring thousands of unique, local charitable endeavours – each matched by GKN’s global donation to children’s charities in Africa.

To capture the imagination of the world and the hearts of its employees, GKN teamed up with the explorer Bear Grylls for a breathtaking Himalayan adventure: to fly a powered paraglider higher than Mount Everest. This daring feat – successfully completed on 14 May – acted as the focal point of a global challenge for GKN employees to help raise an extra $1 million for charity.

The response has been extraordinary. From voluntary work in California to sponsored events in Australia and from parachute jumps to football tournaments, GKN employees have risen to the challenge – contributing to causes in their own communities and helping some of Africa’s most deprived children through the charity Global Angels.scott9999
