GKN Mission Everest live event at the Science Museum, London
23/10/2007
The Science Museum launched a new 3 day GKN Mission Everest live event on Tuesday 23rd October.
The Event highlights the technical achievement of the mission paramotor used by Bear Grylls and Gilo Cardozo. The exhibition features one of the paramotors, GKN branded paraglider wings and a selection of safely equipment used by the team for visitors to handle. Two large TV screens of video footage shot by Wolfram Messner and video diaries Bear and Gilo made whilst at base camp. There was also live footage taken from the mission day itself as events unfolded.
Gilo Cardozo was on hand to answer visitors questions and give demonstrations on how he was positioned in the harness and how the engine functioned to get to such heights.

Although the live event only runs for a few days over this week, the Museum curators are in discussions with Gilo to make the mission paramotor a permanent exhibit at the museum.
