My most spectacular paramotor flight ever! 16/5/2007

So exciting that we've finally completed Mission Everest, this was undoubtedly the most spectactular paramotor flight ever fo me.

Takeing off with these almighty Parajet engines at 14,500ft was no mean feat, and the roar of cheers from the hundreds Nepales Sherpas huddled on the side of the mountain watching, gave us both the strength to run in the sky and eventually the history books.

Thank you GKN, Bear and all at Parajet to have made this mission possible!!!

Gilo

Gilo, Your foresight with your rare talent and courage have enabled Bear Grylls to succeed where many would have failed. Your Angels were with you most of the way! As always I feel very proud to have a 'Parajet', and now feel part of your mission in a funny way! Safe return. Regards Rob

Fantastic. A long way from the Lambretta motor powered go-kart built for G.C.S.E. or the model flying platform with a contra-rotating gearbox his 'A' level Design and Technology project.

What an incredible achievement! well done Gilo and Bear. After all the various aviation engineers and other knowledgeable people who told you it was impossible, only you could have actually made it happen. It must have been a truly amazing flight and you must have had nerves of steel. See you back home soon.
