GKN Mission Everest – adventure with a heart
GKN is working with the Global Angels Foundation – a registered charity – to help children in Africa. Global Angels is an innovative international children’s charity championing the needs of children around the world. It promises that every pound received from public donations will go directly to support established projects working with children at grass-roots level.
Three initial projects have been identified where GKN Mission Everest can make an immediate difference:
Mully’s Children’s Family in Kenya is an award-winning provider of homes and education for street children; it has helped 1,200 children during the last 12 years. Working with Global Angels, we will help to build new dormitories and provide fresh water
supplies.
School Feeding in Mozambique is a project that provides food for 400 children attending a new primary school set up by another leading charity provider. We will enable them to continue and expand their work.
Child Voice International in Uganda helps hundreds of children brutalised and exploited by the rebel wars that have blighted Uganda’s northern regions. Working with Global Angels, we will help build homes for the children and provide them with education.
